To help you get past this frustrating task, I have highlighted a simple way to make your garlic time in the kitchen less tricky.
All you need to do is break the head of garlic into cloves. Put the cloves into a sealable hard-sided container much larger (10x or more) than the garlic, and shake the hell out of it for about 15-30 seconds. Pull out the cloves, and the paper should come off easily.

Note: I don’t recommend plastic containers, as you might impart a garlic flavour to them that will be difficult to remove and they might not be able to put the needed pressure on the cloves.
