Eating is important for anyone – especially if you are preparing for a crucial time in your life.

A poor diet can make you tired or sloppy, whereas a healthy diet will make you more focused. One thing to have in mind is never to overeat before an interview.

Types of food to consider before an interview are foods with fatty acids, foods high in vitamin B and whole grains. Food with fatty acids build brain cell membranes and promote new brain cell formulation – so they’ll make you smarter. Vitamin B prevents insomnia and helps with anxiety and low self-esteem. Whole grains slowly release glucose into the bloodstream, and can increase your mental alertness,

Avoid food containing carbohydrate, smelly foods like onions and garlic and also reduce excessive intake of water and coffee.
