After UV exposure, the second most common cause of wrinkles is squishing your face into a pillow at night. As we age and loose collagen, the skin isn’t able to snap back into a smooth texture. This will allow for morning lines to last way into lunch-hour and with time the lines created while sleeping may become permanent.
Sleeping on your back is ideal since even pressing your cheek into a pillow can cause lines. If you are having trouble with the new sleeping position, try turning your hips and legs to the side while leaving your back and head flat.
