Humayun’s Tomb
The Humayun’s Tomb, the first example of Mughal architecture in India, was constructed in 1565 AD in honor of Humayun by his wife Bega Begam. The double dome and arched alcoves in the corridors of the tomb were built nine years after he died and was influenced by Persian architecture. Due to its garden squares, water channels, and walled enclosure, the monument is also known as Chaharbagh and contains the burials of Mughal emperors.

Qutub Minar
The 73-meter-tall Qutub Minar, which bears Qutb-ud-din Aibak’s name, is a minaret. The tower has five distinct, sloping storeys, the first three of which are covered in red sandstone. The fourth and fifth stories, which are both built of sandstone and marble, respectively, are inlaid with decorative Quranic texts. A mosque called Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid, the first mosque in India, is located at the foot of the tower and includes an interesting spiral stairway with 379 steps.

Jama Masjid
The biggest and most well-known mosque in India is the Jama Masjid, which is situated in the center of Old Delhi. Under the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, it was built between 1650 and 1656, and it required more than 5000 workers to create this ostentatious monument. This venerated mosque, constructed of red sandstone and marble, has three gates, four towers, two 40-meter-tall minarets, and a courtyard that can accommodate 25,000 worshippers.
