Jamie Vardy only made 21 touches but his precision earned him a hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium as Leicester ran riot in a stunning 5-2 victory over Manchester City.
Man City, in their usual element, dominated the match early on and even jumped to take the lead through Riyad Mahrez’s superb half volley with his weaker right foot from 15 yards in the 4th minute of the match, but Leicester first shot on goal found the back of the net for an equaliser.
The Foxes were level in the 37th minute as Kyle Walker tripped Vardy in the box; the England striker duly converted the penalty.
Vardy then made it 2-1 against the Citizens with Leicester’s second shot, producing a stunning flick beyond Ederson from close range, before again winning a penalty, this time from Eric Garcia’s foul, and converting for 3-1.
Maddison, who came on as a substitute made it four as he curled in a screamer from 25 yards in the 77th minute, before Nathan Ake’s header looked to have made the scoreline look slightly more respectable.
Youri Tielemans, however, made it five from the penalty spot after Benjamin Mendy had fouled Maddison to pile on the misery on City as he rounded off the fabulous win.

Guardiola says: “I think today the problem was we put extra pressure on ourselves to score the second one and the third one, when they didn’t want to play, just defend and counter-attack.
“In that position, we have to be more calm. [We were] anxious… thinking: ‘We are not creating chances, we are not creating chances’, we got nervous, and after, we give away three penalties. When you give away three penalties you cannot win.”
Asked how hard it would be to pick his players up after the defeat, Guardiola says: “Of course, it’s hard, but still it’s the second game in the Premier League. We have to try to see what you have to do to avoid it next time. This is my job. Of course, I feel bad for the guys, for the club. We have to analyse and improve.”

West Ham 4-0 Wolves: Bowen scores brace as Hammers got first Premier League win of the season
Jarrod Bowen scored a brace as West Ham took an impressive route in winning their first Premier League game of the season, hammering Wolves 4-0 on Sunday.

The Hammers had performed well against Arsenal last weekend but were unlucky not to take any points from the game, and looked far from a side without a Premier League win this term when Bowen curled home a neat finish early on.
