Nollywood actress, film producer and entrepreneur, Lisa Omorodion, has taken to her Instagram page to call out AMVCA organisers for discriminating against plus-sized women.
“At the just concluded Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) award show, not one plus-size woman made it to the best-dressed list,” the actress writes on her Instagram page.
According to the actress, the fashion world doesn’t recognise plus size women and they make up most of the clothing market.

The actress who is best known for her lead role in the 2013 movie First Cut, alongside Joseph Benjamin and Monalisa Chinda has taken to her Instagram page to write extensively about her grievances concerning this.
“The Fashion Industry creates a fantasy world of what women are supposed to wear,” writes the actress, “and sadly a lot of women struggle to fit into this,” she continues.
“This fantasy world always excludes curvy and plus size women, even though the fashion industry continues to laud itself as democratic in the era of Social media and gender equality.
