Nicki Minaj opens up about her abusive past in new documentary, Queen

Nicki Minaj is letting out a lot about herself in her upcoming documentary, Queen.

The rapper shared two clips from the documentary on her Instagram page. In both clips, Nicki talked about her traumatic childhood and how she ended up being the very thing she detested which prevented her from making music.

Nicki recalled the actions of her father, revealing that as a little girl she had often attempted to protect her mother by standing in front of her with her arms wide open.

Maybe some people would describe me as abrasive or bitchy or whatever because I vowed from that age no man would ever abuse me, call out my name or treat me like that,” she said crying. “Then all of a sudden, that was my life.”
