Terry Bradshaw to be inducted into Lou Holtz Hall of Fame

All American icon – an NFL football great, an author, a TV sports analyst, an actor, a gospel singer and a motivational speaker, by the person of Terry Bradshaw is to be inducted into the 2020 Lou Holtz/Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame. 

Apart from being inducted in the Lou Holtz, Bradshaw also will be honoured as the 2020 Lifetime Achievement recipient when the annual banquet holds on 8 June 2020 at the St. Florian Event Center in Wintersville.

Career:

Terry Bradshaw played for the Pittsburgh Steelers 14 seasons, he led them to 8th AFC Central championships and won four Super Bowl titles in a six year- period between 1974 and 1979. In 1972, he threw the Immaculate Reception pass to Franco Harris to beat the Raiders in the AFC Division playoffs – arguably one of the most famous plays in NFL history. He was a two-time Super Bowl MVP and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996. Terry retired after the 1983 season, and although the Steelers have not officially retired the No. 12 jersey, they have not issued it to anyone since.

He has written and co-written five books and recorded six albums – country-western and gospel – three of which were Billboard hits. As a Christian, he writes Terry Bradshaw: Man of Steel with broadcaster Dave Diles.

Bradshaw has appeared in many television commercials and many shows, such as Brotherly Love, Everybody Loves Raymond, Married With Children, Modern Family, The Larry Sanders Show, The League and The Jeff Foxworthy Show. Most recently, he stars along with William Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman and Jeff Dye on the NBC series Better Late Than Never, which featured the group of celebrities travelling the world together.

He has appeared in a volume of films including Hooper, The Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit II with Burt Reynolds, and The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. as well as Failure to Launch with Matthew McConaughey.

Bradshaw is the only NFL player to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
