Forbes has released its 2019 30 under 30 list from across the United states and Canada.
The Forbes 30 under 30 list was set up in 2011 and recognises 600 business and industry figures, with 30 selected from 20 industries each.
2018’s honourees have an average age of 26.8. Over 55% of them are founders or cofounders, 19% of them immigrants from 57 countries, and 38% of them identify as first generation Americans.
Popular names on the list include Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin, 29, musicians Post Malone, 23, Lil Pump, 18, 21 Savage, 26, photographer Tyler Mitchell, 23 who photographed Beyonce for her Vogue September 2018 cover, and actor Storm Reid, 15.
People of Nigerian descent on the list include:
Taofeek Abijako, 20, who started his luxe men’s streetwear brand when he was a teenager at Albany High School. Photographer, Kayode Ojo, 28 who had solo shows in Paris, Berlin, New York and Dallas.

Obi Omile Jr. who founded theCut with his high school best friend Kush Patel. theCut is a barbershop technology platform that allows users and barbers to schedule and manage appointments.
Adegoke Olubusi, 25, Tito Ovia, 25, and Dimeji Sofowora, 26 founders of Helium Health, used by 5,000 doctors, with data from 500,000 patients across West Africa.
Olaoluwa Osuntokun, 25, the Cofounder/CTO, Lighting Labs, who has raised $2.5 million to turn bitcoin into a more viable form of payment by making smaller transactions more cost effective.
Emmanuel Acho, 28, a former linebacker for the Browns and Eagles who serves as the youngest national football analyst for ESPN. In 2017, his non-profit, Living Hope Christian Ministries, raised enough money to build a hospital in a rural community in Nigeria.
