Eminem buys out theater to promote self-produced movie Bodied

Bodied is a satirical comedy which stars Calum Worthy as Adam Merkin, a progressive-minded grad student who finds success but sparks controversy when his interest in battle rap as a thesis subject turns into a competitive obsession.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, who was previously best known for music videos, Bodied was produced by Eminem, his manager Paul Rosenberg, and Adi Shankar. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017 and won the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness. It was later picked up for YouTube for exclusive streaming starting in late 2018.
