Whitney Houston’s former husband, Bobby Brown, sues Showtime and The BBC over an alleged unauthorized footage used in Whitney Houston documentary – Whitney: Can I Be Me.

Bobby Brown’s attorney, have alleged that Showtime, The BBC and several other defendants violated their rights by improperly using footage from the production of his 2005 reality series, Being Bobby Brown.

The lawsuit claimed that Brown never signed a release for Whitney’s documentary to utilize footage from his reality TV series. The suit also added that Brown never consented for his likenesses to appear in the film at all, also pointing out that the producers of the documentary falsely credited Brown’s production company, Brownhouse Entertainment, at the end of the film.

Brown is asking for $2 million from defendants Passion Pictures, Tracey Baker-Simmons, Wanda Shelley, B2 Entertainment and Simmons Shelley Entertainment, Showtime and The BBC.
