Emily Joanna Carey was born on April 30, 2003, in Barnet, Greater London, England. She grew up in a family of theater enthusiasts and her grandmother, a former West End wardrobe manager, used to take her along for work backstage. At 8, an agent discovered her and started preparing her for life as an actress.
