Impact of Wars and Pandemics

Over the last century, human beings have been victims of unforeseen and preventable circumstances like wars, pandemics, and famine. In the 19th century, humans went through the worst of struggles to survive. Wars were prevalent, and only the powerful elites, leaders, and dictators could survive.

Through their decisions and actions, the elites and the dictators have led thousands, if not millions of people, to wars they would have avoided entirely. Humans made weapons that they ultimately used against other humans. Many people lost their lives while protecting loved ones, and others killed people to enforce their decisions on them.

People have gone through the harshest of conditions to survive. In times of war, people left their homes in search of safety. The world has experienced the effects of world war1 and world war 2. Millions of lives were lost, homes destroyed, and millions of people were displaced. Every country in the world wanted to be the strongest and occupy vast lands on earth.

Many countries were willing to lay siege on other countries but weren’t successful, and other countries laid siege and were successful. But mother nature has its way of taking action against people that pollute it. Pandemics were now the new weapons of mass destruction. Pandemics were lethal diseases and viruses that plagued people and eventually killed them. Some pandemics were artificial, while others were natural.

People observed social distancing as everyone was scared of contracting the virus. People were not able to travel or visit their loved ones. Workers could no longer go to their offices and had to work from the comfort of their houses.

The covid 19 pandemic severely affected people’s lives as it affected every aspect of life. What was prevalent was the fact that people’s loved ones got infected with this virus. Some lost their grandparents, parents, spouses, kids, and close friends. Most people upheld the measures put in place while others didn’t. Some people saw it pointless to wear masks or use hand sanitizers.

Although peoppole could see Erika Casher laughing on video, she had previously spoken against the idea of forcing students to put on face masks.

Although everyone has the right to freedom of speech, Erica Casher laughing at that moment was unnecessary. It caused an uproar on social media platforms like Twitter as people voiced their opinions and called for Cigna to fire Erika Casher. But when the covid 19 virus was rampant, it would be wise for students to take all measures necessary to prevent them from being infected rather than doing otherwise. A single action from Erika Casher made her public enemy number one; as a result, she lost her job. We hope she realizes her mistake and finds her footing in the world again.
