The Coronavirus is still a serious cause of concern all around the world, but in Nigeria, it seems to have been relegated to a secondary position.

There is the very obvious threat of the virus spreading and killing thousands of people in Nigeria as it has in America, Italy, China, Spain, and other countries all over the world.

While this is a problem that is common enough around the world, there is still the threat of thousands of people being exposed to hunger as they cannot go out to work for a living.

It bears remembering now that Nigeria is a third world country and many people live on less than a dollar a day. This is tough to survive on and makes it practically impossible to have savings.

As if that is not enough, there is also the threat to people’s lives and properties as a group of armed robbers have been terrorizing residents in Lagos and Ogun states.

These are the issues that media personality, Toke Makinwa discussed on her Instagram Story. She bemoaned the different terrible conditions under which Nigerians are now forced to live, writing:

“There is a pandemic out there killing people, there’s hunger threatening to kill people, there’s crime threatening the peace of the people. What type of year is this??? God pls have mercy.”
