For Chinonso Arubayi, the wife of the gospel artist whose death early this year reverberated on the internet, the pain of his loss is still as fresh as new

More so as today would have been an anniversary of their traditional marriage. She shared some of the agonies of the irreparable separation on her Instagram account as a caption to a picture from that other joyful day.

You knew how I couldn’t wait to take that gele off, and you laughed as soon as I did, she wrote. “But this discomfort is different, you can’t shake it off, and when your done counting sheep you still can’t sleep. They say the pain never ends, that knot in the place where your hearts meant to be, that empty feeling, the helplessness and strange loneliness where happiness used to live… We just learn to live with the separation,” she concluded.
