American singer and songwriter Alecia Beth Moore, who goes by the stage name Pink, has taken to her Instagram account to share her COVID-19 experience.
According to the singer, she, alongside her three years old son had symptoms of coronavirus and she tested positive to coronavirus. Although both mother and child have now tested negative, the experience wasn’t a good one.
In a statement released on Instagram, the singer decries the inability of the US government to make testing widely available. She also announces two donations of $500,000 each to Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia where her mother, Judy Moore, worked for 18 years and to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.
She also thanks health workers for their dedication to saving lives.

“Two weeks ago my three-year-old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19, the singer writes on her Instagram page. “Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor” the post continues.
“Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.
