A deacon of the Redeemed Christian Church of God was nabbed by the EFCC for trying to rob the church through forgery.
Reporting to the church authorities, the South-South head of the EFCC Mr. Ishaq Salihu said that the deacon of the church known as Cyril Idakwoji who was a former employee of Access Bank and acts as the church bank account officer was the culprit.
Idakwoji had forged the signatures of the pastor in charge of the church’s region 5 and that of the churh’s accountant. He was discovered to have diverted funds meant for the church to his own personal account.
