Patoranking calls out African leaders for keeping quiet over sales of Africans as slaves in Libya

Recall that a CNN report recently exposed the slave trade that is currently going on in Libya where intending immigrants are sold to hard labour by their alleged ‘owners’.

His post comes after American singer, Chris Brown decried the outrageous act on social media.

Many of the victims are Nigerians by the way, who are seeking to escape the harsh economic realities in the country for another life in Europe. They embark on the journeys not knowing what faces them at the other end and with nothing but hope for a brighter future on European propelling them. But many of them die along the way and the ‘luckier’ one end up as slaves in the hands of the traffickers.

Reposting an evocative image of the situation, the Voice Nigeria called out African leaders whose silence on the issues was (is) rather deafening.

AFRICAN LEADER, I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE SEEING THIS… THIS IS HAPPENING IN AFRICA TO AFRICANS BY AFRICANS… OH, MY GOD, THIS IS HIGHEST LEVEL OF EVIL….LET THE AWARENESS BEGIN…, he captioned the image.

The singer further added that he wouldn’t be posting anything music related today.
