That is the story of a young man of 24 years, Patrick Amadi, who was sentenced for two years after he was intercepted by the security operatives on the prison grounds when he tried to smuggle in Marijuana to his brother who is serving a prison term.

Justice Ayotunde Faji sentenced the man after he pleaded guilty to the crime and promised to never engage in crime again, asking the court to temper justice with mercy.

He had been trying to sneak in 200 grams of marijuana to his brother by hiding it in his sandals, the NDLEA charged him on the one count of drug trafficking.

The judge advised him to use the time behind bars to change his ways as he said the duration of his prison term will start from the time of his arrest on June 18.
