Born Margaret Cassidy Lawson on 12 August 1980, Maggie is an American actress best known for her role as Detective Juliet “Jules” O’Hara in the TV show “Psych” and as Nathalie Flynn in the buddy cop action drama “Lethal Weapon.” Popularly called Maggie Lawson, the actress took a liking to acting from a young age. She eventually started performing in local community theatre productions at the age of eight.

Early life and education
Maggie Lawson was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to a hotel manager father (Chris Lawson) and a homemaker mother (Judy Lawson). Although not much information is available regarding her siblings, it is known that she grew up alongside two.
Lawson attended St. Stephen Martyr School, a Catholic grade school. She proceeded to the Assumption High School, an all-girls Catholic school in Louisville, where she remained till her sophomore year. Maggie then studied at Central High School before moving on to the university. By this time, she had already moved to Los Angeles and was busy with acting, so she completed her education at Montclair State University through correspondence, gaining a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting.

Maggie Lawson began her career at the age of eight, initially performing in theatrical productions. She later moved to Los Angeles for her first television pilot at 15. In 1996 and 1997, she starred in the dramas “Unhappily Ever After” and “Cybill,” where she appeared in 4 and 12 episodes, respectively. Soon after this, she was cast in the theatrical film “Pleasantville,” which also starred Tobey Maguire, Joan Allen, Jeff Daniels, William H. Macy, Reese Witherspoon, and J. T. Walsh.
