Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abayomi Shogunle, who is also Head of Police Complaint Rapid Response Unit, revealed the order given by the Inspector General of Police in a statement.
He added that all car owners using “spy” plate number have also been ordered to return the plate numbers to the Force Transport Officer.
The force also stated that a team would be set up to check covering of car plate numbers and illicit use if siren.
Many Nigerians have since shown contempt for this new change the IG of police is trying to implement. And of course, most Nigerians are in doubt the enactment and severity of the proposed action to bring back dignity to the force.
