The LAGBUS was headed for Lagos from Sango in Ogun State, but had not moved very far before it was waved to a stop by group of people who pretended to be trying board the bus. Immediately the bus halted, the hoodlums who numbered up to 30 rushed on-board wielding various kinds of weapons.
A victim of the attack mentioned that one of the assailants had a gun while others had cutlasses and knives.
They successfully robbed the passengers of their phones, wristwatches, money and other valuables before the conductor -who had already been dispossessed of her own properties- escaped and ran into the streets and raised awareness about the ongoing operation.
