Four Ugandan teenagers die in motor accident moments after recording video of themselves

The incident happened at Bajjo village along the Kampala-Gulu highway in Uganda after the vehicle in which the teenagers were travelling rammed into a stationary truck. They were on their way to check on the results of their national examination, which they had written last November.

“We received the sad news with shock. We are trying to get in touch with the relatives and the police on what happened,” says Dr Charles Kahigiriza, the school head.

Officials say preliminary findings suggest the students were speeding when accident happened. Three of them died at the spot, while the fourth died at the hospital.
