EndSARS protester Eromosele Adene, fondly called Eroms, is set to be freed after his legal team met the NGN1 million bail demand.

According to Tola, one of the legal representatives of the EndSARS protests, the case was moved to a new court on 17th November 2020. Thus, a different magistrate presided over the matter and both parties had to move applications afresh.
Following that, Tola tweeted: “Bail was set at 1 million with 2 sureties of same 1 million. One surety sureties must own property & they must both be tax payers.”
In addition to this, the lawyer proceeded to explain how the bail system works in Nigeria.
“Setting a bail amount does not mean you give money to the court,” explained Tola. “It] means surety must prove means to pay that amount (usually affidavit) and make undertaking that if he fails to show up anytime required, the sureties will be liable for that amount,” he adds.
