D'banj bags traditional title in Imo State, rocks the native attire

Nigeria singer D’banj sure looks like something from a fairytale book as he was pictured in traditional Igbo attire.

The occasion, we are told, was the bestowing upon him a chieftaincy title by the Obowo community in Imo State. He is henceforth to be also known as Ezi Enyi Ka Nwanne of Amuzi, Obowo, Imo State, which means a ‘good friend is greater than a brother’ of Amuzi community. Well, roger that.

The singer reportedly had the honour bestowed upon him under the auspices of his friend and business partner, Mr Damian Ifeanyi Okoroafor. And it looks like he is in the business of friends making. He was recently pictured with erstwhile business partner Don Jazzy. The duo parted company some time ago but it looks like they’ve made up their differences.

D’banj is not a stranger to the tradition of title taking in Igbo land. In 2010,  he bagged the of Oluoma 1 of Abayi Amaugwu autonomous community in Abia state.
