Coronavirus Nigeria update: 100 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shared another update on the cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria

The cases continue to reduce, both in the number of states that record new cases and the number of cases that are recorded nationwide.

In the latest report, Plateau State, which has had the highest number of new cases for the last few days is absent. Lagos State has again recorded the highest number of new cases with FCT ranking behind Lagos State.

According to the latest report, which is shared on NCDC’s official Twitter page, the total number of cases recorded in Nigeria has now exceeded 55,000.

55,005 cases have now been confirmed all over Nigeria since the first case in February. 43,013 people have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres.

1,057 people have tragically died from Coronavirus related illnesses.

According to the report, Lagos State recorded the highest number of new cases with 39 new cases. FCT recorded the second highest with 21 new cases. Kaduna State came in third with 19 new cases.
