Police from the Ondo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded a suspected armed robber, Chukuma Okoro, who confessed to joining armed robbery gang to pay his wife’s dowry.
He said that they had been living together for some time and he was engaged in a vegetable business until one day when his wife ran away from home only for him to discover that she had returned to her parents’ house.
On getting their he was said to have been resisted by the family and was asked to get N300,000 to offset the price of her dowry.
