Senate suspends plenary in honor of dead Senator Wakili

The Senate has suspended plenary in honour of Senator Malam Ali Wakili who died on Saturday, 17th March 2018. He was aged58.

Wakili until his death on Saturday represented Bauchi South Senatorial district and chaired the Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation.

The Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan raised a point of order for the suspension of plenary and it was seconded by the Minority Whip, Senator Philip Aduda.

The plenary will resume tomorrow with a valedictory session in Wakili’s honour. The Senate President, Bukoka Saraki made the announcement.
