The Lagos State government has announced that four more patients who have recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection have been discharged to go back home.
“More great news from our Infectious Disease Hospital as 4 patients; 3 females and 1 male have recovered fully, tested negative twice and have been discharged.
“This gives us a lot of hope as we continue to listen to our health experts and provide the resources to beat #COVID19,” the governor of Lagos State, Jide Sanwa-Olu, writes on his official Twitter handle.
According to the governor, Lagos state has now discharged a total of 23 patients from their isolation centres.

“Big thanks to our health workers working hard during this time. Please continue social distancing to avoid becoming the weak link in our collective efforts, ” Governor Sanwo-Olu writes on his official Twitter handle.
Nigeria has confirmed 190 cases of the COVID-19 pandemic in total in 13 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)-Abuja. But so far, only two deaths have been recorded. 24 people have also recovered from the deadly viral infection.
Lagos State also remains the state with the most infected persons, recording 98 of the total infections in Nigeria. And as noted above, 23 of the affected patients have recovered and left the treatment centre in Yaba, Lagos.
