Rock band Coldplay plans to livestream TikTok concert for their fans

British rock band, Coldplay, has announced they would host a live stream concert on TikTok next week to rally and show support for Red Nose Day 2021.

Red Nose Day 2021 is on Thursday, 27 May 2021 but the rock band will host their show on Monday, 24 May 2021 on their TikTok account to raise awareness for the event.

The Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising event to tackle child poverty.

The British rock band would perform four songs which would include their latest track “Higher Power” in London, where Coldplay recently performed for the 2021 Brit Awards.

The band’s frontman Chris Martin called on support for the event in a video that was shared on the official social media account of Red Nose Day.

The band was also there for the fundraiser back in 2015 where they performed Game of Thrones: The Musical alongside the cast of the HBO fantasy drama series.  That video has amassed more than 35 million YouTube views to date and you can watch it below.

Ole Obermann, global head of music at TikTok said, “This is both an exciting opportunity for our global audience to hear and watch great music, as well as raise money for a charity that does such good work for children both in the United States and around the world.
