Davido official photographer, Fortunate Umunname Peter, popularly known as Fortune, dies in a drowning incident.
The Nigerian singer is mourning once again, as he has reportedly lost another close aid.
Three months ago, the “Fem” crooner lost his close friend and associate, Habeeb Ademola Uthman, aka Obama DMW. In 2020, he lost his bodyguard of six years, Ogbeide Tijani Olamilekan (Teejay), and in 2017, Davido had also lost his longtime friend, Tagbo Umeike.
The news of Fortune’s shocking death was broken by a Twitter user, @Dianacoco_, who claims to be friends with the late photographer. While mourning, the user wrote, “Davido photographer Fortune is dead, Jesus Christ. I’m heartbroken, he’s my friend.”
“I’m sooooo shocked right now, wtf. [It] shouldn’t have been Fortune God, he’s so hardworking, very ambitious he worked so hard to gain the spot he achieved like wtf. This one is paining me because he is someone I know so well, guy,” the source further disclosed.

His last Instagram post was on 10 July 2021, when he made a birthday post with the caption “Rolling stone +1″.

According to the PUNCH, he was said to have drowned at an undisclosed location in Lagos on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.
Fortune was born on 10 July 1997 in Bariga, Lagos, although he is an indigene of Imo state. He started as a graphics designer before he moved into photography after his aunt got him his first camera.
He started working with Davido in 2019, and since then, the brilliant photographer has grown his photography portfolio, working with various stars like Pogba, Popcaan, LilBaby, Cassanova, Mayorkun, Wizkid, Jidenna, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Patoranking, Akon, DMW and many others.
At the time of making his post, no official statement had been made, and members of the 30BG gang have not made a comment about his death.
