WhatsApp has officially introduced the forward message indicator in chats to reduce the spread of fake news.
The new feature was announced via a WhatsApp blog post. The feature will show that you that you have received a forwarded message.
This feature is said to help make one-on-one and group chats easier to follow. It helps you determine if your friend or relative wrote the message they sent or if it originally came from someone else.
