And now, Asos has taken a really important step in making its website even more inclusive, which is probably more important than all of the above.
A Twitter user Eleanor noticed when browsing the site that ASOS has switched up the way it shows its clothes, by having models of different sizes photographed in the same dress.
That means you can now see how dresses might look on body types that aren’t a size 10 and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Asos responded to the Tweet confirming that the new style will be rolling out across the app soon, too.
They say in a statement: “We’re always testing new technology that can make our customers’ experience even better. In this case, we’re experimenting with AR to show the product on different size models, so customers can get a better sense of how something might fit their body shape“.
The reaction to the news is mostly positive, as any step towards body inclusivity is a good one, even if there is often more that could be done.
