RCCG Deacon Caught By EFCC Stealing From The Church.

A deacon of the Redeemed Christian Church of God was nabbed by the EFCC for trying to rob the church through forgery.

Reporting to the church authorities, the South-South head of the EFCC Mr. Ishaq Salihu said that the deacon of the church known as Cyril Idakwoji who was a former employee of Access Bank and acts as the church bank account officer was the culprit.

Idakwoji had forged the signatures of the pastor in charge of the church’s region 5 and that of the churh’s accountant. He was discovered to have diverted funds meant for the church to his own personal account.

In addition, EFCC also recovered the money he had stolen from Jephtah International school where he also acts as their account officer, a sum of N36 million.

He has been sacked by Access Bank.
