Novak Djokovic has progressed to the French Open finals by eliminating tennis juggernaut, Rafael Nadal. In what has been described as an epic face-off, it was the world’s number 1 in men’s single who came out victorious ahead of the number 3 seed.
The match which went on for a strenuous four hours saw Nadal handed his first defeat in a Paris semifinal. It was the perfect rematch for Djokovic as fans will remember Nadal bested him to clinch the trophy at the last French Open.
Nadal won the first set 6-3 and Djokovic took the second set 6-3 followed by the third set 7-6 and the fourth set 6-2. The match was the 9th between the two in the French Open, and the 58th meeting in all competitions.

In his post match interview, Djokovic said it is a privilege to play against Nadal. “You tell yourself no pressure, but there is a lot of pressure. Trust me,” he said. “Pressure is a privilege,” he added.
