The Umbrella Academy Season 3 introduces us to the Sparrows ‘The Sparrows’ are a group of siblings adopted by eccentric billionaire/adventurer Reginald Hargreeves after meeting them in 1963. The clip, which appears to be a meet-and-greet for the Sparrows, shows them enjoying various parts of their lives in a montage before confronting the Brellies. As revealed in the Season 2 finale, Ben Hargreeves is alive and well in this new timeline but remains loyal to the Sparrows.

He is now their Number Two and far more interested in bottle service and trendy clubs than being Klaus Hargreeves’ ghost BFF. As revealed in the Season 2 finale, Ben Hargreeves is alive and well in this new timeline but remains loyal to the Sparrows.  The rest of the video will introduce us to six new characters. There’s Marcus (Justin Cornwell), who exercises in front of his adoring fans, and Fei (Britne Oldford), who uses birds to help herself rock climb.

Alphonso (Jake Epstein) and Jayme (Cazzie David), who fight bullies for free pepperoni pizza, Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), who dreams of a life outside of the Sparrow Academy, and Christopher a glowing cube that cracks jokes with its human friends.

When playing a character covered in bruises and scars, you must remember that the audience will see everything. Epstein says playing a character like Alphonso — who can reflect any attack but holds decades of abuse on his body — is a departure from past roles. “Getting to put on this crazy costume is something that I never would’ve imagined I’d get to do. It was very freeing,” Epstein tells Tudum. “Shout-out to makeup artist Kyle Glenncross for designing the whole outfit and gently telling me, ‘It’s all OK. It’s all OK,’ as he applies wads of glue to my face.”
