Kevin Hart has been released from a Los Angeles hospital 1o days after he was admitted for treatment for back injuries he sustained during a car crash.
TMZ reports that the actor and comedian has been transferred to a live-in rehab facility where he’s undergoing intensive physical therapy. According to the TMZ, he is expected to stay at the rehab facility for about a week as the three spinal fractures caused by the crash continue to heal. Sources told the site that he’s “glad” to be out of the hospital and that he’s grateful to be alive.
Kevin was in the passenger seat of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda around 1 am on 1 September 1 when the driver, his friend Jared Black, swerved off Mulholland Highway in Malibu and landed in a ditch. Reports say that Jared Black was airlifted from the scene, and his current condition is unknown. Jared’s fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, was also in the car and suffered minor injuries. A California Highway Patrol collision says Kevin and Jared suffered “major back injuries”
The vehicle ended up in a ditch about 10 feet off the side of the winding road after it smashed through a wooden fence. The roof of the Barracuda was almost completely crushed in the crash.
