Breaking: President Trump sacks secretary of State, Tillerson, replaces him with CIA boss

The US president, Donald Trump has, via Twitter, announced the sack of his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson.

The president tweeted the sack less than an hour ago naming a new a replacement for the position.

He tweets:

“Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job!

He also thanked Rex for his service adding that Gina Haspel would become the new director of the CIA.
