Ariana Grande has been sued by an artist over claims she copied his artwork for her God is a Woman video, reports TMZ.

Vladimir Kush, the artist who is suing Ariana, claims the singer stole the idea for one of the images in her video from his artworks which he titled The Candle and The candle 2.

The artist says both his paintings feature a woman in the eye of a flame with one arm raised against a partially cloudy sky, the same pose Ariana made in her video, according to the magazine.

In the video, released in 2018, Ariana can be seen in one part dancing in the eye of a flame, which sits on a candle.

Per TMZ, Vladimir is also accusing the production company Ariana used as having experience in stealing artistic works. The lawsuit is said to claim Freenjoy, Inc were also involved in producing Kendrick Lamar’s All the Stars video – a different artist sued over that one, also claiming a rip-off.

Vladimir is suing Ariana and Freenjoy for copyright infringement and is seeking an injunction to remove her music video from the Internet.
