“Money Heist” actors or actresses have found fame thanks to the international recognition that the series has gotten since its international release in 2019. With the characters bearing names of famous cities, it is easy to tell who is who and follow their individual stories.
This led to many viewers taking interest in not just the show and its characters but also the actors or actresses portraying them. Who is the most famous “Money Heist” actor? You do not have to guess; here is a complete list of the top ten.
10. Esther Acebo – Mónica Gaztambide / Stockholm

Stockholm features one of the most convincing character arcs on the show, and the actress who played the role has since become an international star. Before the crime drama, Acebo made her acting debut on TV in the 2011 fantasy series “Ángel o Demonio”, leaving her earlier roles as a TV program host. She later acted in another film titled “Los Encantados (The Enchanted Ones)”.
9. Pedro Alonso – Andrés de Fonollosa / Berlin

At one time, Berlin was the most famous “Money Heist” character, but the show’s focus has since shifted from him to other characters. Yet, the man behind the fictional character, Pedro Alonso, is still quite well known.
He won the Award of the Spanish Actors Union in the Television: Supporting Performance (Male) category in 2018. His seeming brilliance from the show is no fluke as Alonso, in real life, is ambidextrous and speaks Spanish, Galician, Catalan and English. Since his role as Berlin, he has also co-starred in Amazon Prime Video’s 2018 drama series “Diablo Guardián” and plays the lead role in the 2019 Spanish mystery thriller “The Silence of the Marsh”.
8. Alvaro Morte – Sergio Marquina / The Professor / Salvador “Salva” Martín

It is quite a surprise that “The Professor” is not the most popular actor in the “Money Heist” series. However, considering that the early parts of the show had him in hiding most of the time, it is understandable.
Morte initially started studying for a degree in communications engineering before he switched to dramatic art. He mostly played small roles in TV shows and films until the 2017 heist crime thriller changed his career. In 2019, he won the Award of the Spanish Actors Union for Television: Lead Performance (Male).
7. Jamie Lorente – Ricardo / Daniel Ramos / Denver

Before his international fame, Lorente won the Best Actor Award in the first edition of the María Jesús Sirvent Awards for his role in a theatre production of Peter Shaffer’s Equus. Many may never hear of him if he was not the eccentric Denver in La casa de Papel.
Riding on that fame, Jamie Lorente got another role on the Netflix Original Series “Élite” released in 2018. He is also on the cast for Amazon Prime Video historical series “El Cid”. The actor also has a book of poems that he published in 2020.
6. Miguel Herran – Aníbal Cortés / Rio

Herran was one of the first actors that early “Money Heist” fans fell in love with for the seeming boyish innocence he portrayed as Aníbal Cortés or Rio. He stars alongside Lorente in the “Elite” series.
The actor was the winner of the 2016 Goya Award for Best New Actor for his role in the drama film “Nothing in Return”. He also recently played Ángel in the Spanish crime thriller “Hasta el Cielo (Sky High)”.
5. Maria Pedraza – Alison Parker
