The ‘wonderkid’ sustained an ankle injury just 2 days to the world cup after a tackle by his teammate, Rami.
The injury initially looked terrible and many feared that he was out for the count, but Mbappe wants to assure his fans that he is, in fact, okay and will be able to partake in the World cup.
He tweeted: “I’m fine, it’s just a hit so it doesn’t matter but thanks for your posts.
PS: And let’s be nice to my friend @Rami13officiel (Rami’s handle) it was not nasty.”
His omission would have been a major blow for his team as he is currently in top form and has a very important role to play.
