Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to discuss the band’s comeback and upcoming tour when a surprising statement was made by Melanie Chisholm, aka Sporty Spice, revealing that Victoria said she was never formally asked to join the Spice Girls reunion.
Chisholm said: “Do you know what’s actually quite funny, I saw Victoria recently and obviously, we’ve all been in contact, she’s very much part of the Spice Girls, she really supports us and we really support her. But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked. We just presumed.”
In response to Chisholm’s statement, Horner said: “I spoke to her before the announcement and she has said it for years that she just doesn’t want to do it anymore, so we knew that.”
