'Who wants to be a millionnaire' - Popular TV show set to return to Nigeria airwaves

Producers of the popular primetime television show,”Who Wants to be a Millionaire” has announced an imminent return - two months after MTN pulled out as a sponsor.
Get to read to ‘Phone a friend’, ‘Ask the audience’ or ‘Go 50-50’ TV show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” returns to national television. The show went off air in June amidst when the long-term sponsor, MTN pulled out of renewing the deal. Producers say it will hit the airwaves on 3rd September.
A public statement indicates that a new sponsor for the game show has been found in the form of Airopay, a company involved in international money transfer and related financial services.
“We are pleased to inform the general public that the popular family quiz program ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Nigeria’ will return to TV on the 3rd of September 2017,” said a statement released on Tuesday.“New season, new sponsors, whooping cash prizes to be won. Don’t miss any of the episodes.”
Airopay, the new sponsors of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, is a global international payments operator which “offers a secure, fast and inexpensive way to send and receive money via bank accounts and mobile wallets”.
In a message posted on social media, Ultimia Studios welcomed Airopay on board, saying: “We look forward to a great partnership with your team. #Signed&Sealed.”
At the time of going off the air in June, show host Frank Edoho posted a message on Instagram to announce that MTN has withdrawn from sponsorship of the TV programme.
“Sadly, we are going on a break because our sponsor pulled out. But we thank@mtnng for being with us all these years, please thank them for us… Just an indefinite break,” he had written.
A tweet from the official Twitter account of the programme suggests that Frank Edoho might be back to anchor the show, other, there was no definitive confirmation of that.
