So, a few days ago, the self-proclaimed African Giant, Damini Ogulu also known as Burna Boy, added more proclamation to himself. That time, he called himself the best musician alive after Fela, which of course prompted a debate on social media regarding the merits of the claim or otherwise.
Media personality and former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, who is no stranger to controversy himself, had some things to say concerning that. And he seems to be in support of the Anybody singer.
Weighing in on the matter, Uti tweets: “Why do we have a problem with peeps blowing their own trumpet? Why do we call it pride?? If u are used to putting yourself down and not speaking as things are/should be, then stay down!! But DO NOT FOR ANY REASON FORCE ANYONE TO THINK AND ACT AS SMALL AS YOU! Respect @burnaboy!”

Burna Boy’s declaration caused an uproar in the Twitter community as many Nigerians had all sorts of opinions about the singer’s declarations. While some are in support of what he said, others are blatantly against it. Uti is definitely on the side of those who are in support as he released some tweets shunning those who were against the singer.

He continues: “We should actually thank @burnaboy for putting RESPECT on our name internationally!! Especially at times like these where we have very little to brag about as a country! Entertainment has been our saving grace in recent times! PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME!! HE FREAKING EARNED IT!”
