Werner feels his international teammates would welcome Ozil's return

However, according to Werner many of his international teammates would be happy if Ozil decided to come back.

“I think many in the team would be happy if Mesut Ozil said, ‘I’ll do it again’,” Werner said in an interview with SportBild.

Werner also acknowledged the need for him to play proper Champions league football to get to the level of players like Antoine Griezmann and Eden Hazard hinting that he might have to leave Leipzeg to achieve that.

“You can only do that if you are in a Champions League final or at least a semi-final,” 

“In Leipzig, we are not quite ready to achieve that.”
