Speaking in an interview with Manolas and Justin Kluivert, James Pallotta says he “had no choice”.
“I really liked Salah, many still do not know we had no choice, we had to let him go, he still had a contract year, he asked to be sold because he felt he had to show something in the Premier League,” he said.
“It was difficult, even with Alisson it was difficult.”
Salah went on to enjoy massive success in his debut season at Liverpool scoring 32 goals in 36 Premier League matches.
