Toke Makinwa's ex father-in-law, Allison Ayida, passes away

Ayida died at the age of 88 on Thursday, 11 October 2018 at Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lagos state. Before his death, Allison grew to the top of the civil service and was famed as a permanent secretary.

Born on 16th June of 1930, Ayida attended Kings College, Lagos, Oxford University, United Kingdom, and entered the civil service after graduation. He served in several positions in the civil service and reached the peak of his career as a permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economic Development where he helped to reshape Nigeria’s post-civil war economy.

Maje Ayida and Toke Makinwa got married back on January 15, 2014, in a very private ceremony which was attended by close friends and family. However, the marriage crashed after Maje’s cheating allegations was made public. The marriage ended in 2017 after Maje impregnated his girlfriend, Anita Solomon, and Toke filed for a divorce.
