In her interview with the magazine, Toke Makinwa discusses her latest project – The Foreigners God, her role in the movie and what acting means to her.
Toke addresses her character in the movie – a rape victim – and explained how the role made her elicit different emotions also stating that she plans to use her voice to change the narrative of rape victims.
“When I was informed about the role by the producer, I went through series of emotions, fear, doubt, compassion. Rape is a huge issue, millions of women suffer in silence, and being able to stand with victims of rape with my voice is an opportunity I won’t miss in a life time,” she said.
She also discussed how exciting it is to work with Nollywood veterans like Onyeka Owenu and Pete Edochie.
