Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has spoken up on black women being limited as per their roles at home and in the family.

According to Savage, a lot of people in Africa still have the idea that a woman had to be submissive, stay at home and be the wife and mother.

She said though, those were great morals to keep, the modern African woman was being limited.

Taking to her Instagram, Tiwa Savage writes: “A lot of people in Africa still have the idea that a woman has to be submissive, stay at home and be the wife and mother. Don’t get me wrong. Those are great morals to keep.

But I think the modern African woman, the modern black woman is being limited. We can do both.”
