The story of how she was rumoured to have lost her home is strange. People claimed she was dating billionaire who had gifted her the home.
Trouble, however, erupted when AMCON recovered debts from said billionaire and her home, which was listed as part of his assets was recovered alongside his other properties.
People took to social media to share this news, reacting in several ways to this news and ‘drawing lessons’ from the whole story.
Now, the on-air personality and media girl has been forced to come forward and deny the rumours.
Toke Makinwa‘s publicist, Andrea Manuela Giaccaglia, on behalf of the media girl, denied the rumours and insisted that the property is solely her’s.
She also said she would take legal action against the originators of the rumour, writing:
“On behalf of Ms. Toke Makinwa, we would like to address the rumour circulating the internet that Ms. Toke Makinwa’s alleged house in Banana Island was taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
“Ms. Toke’s is the sole owner of her residence in Ikoyi. Our lawyers have been contacted and legal action will be taken against the originators of this story. Kind Regards, Toke Makinwa’s Management.”
